Welcome to MowAtlas. By downloading our app or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About MowAtlas

MowAtlas is a marketplace platform that connects homeowners ("Customers") with independent lawn care professionals ("Contractors"). MowAtlas is not a lawn care company and does not employ Contractors. We provide the platform and payment infrastructure.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use MowAtlas. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

3. For Customers

• You agree to provide accurate service address information
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe at time of booking
• Cancellations must be made before the Contractor has accepted the job to avoid fees
• You agree to treat Contractors professionally and respectfully
• Reviews must be honest and based on your actual experience

4. For Contractors

• You must be legally authorized to perform lawn care services in your area
• You are an independent contractor, not an employee of MowAtlas
• You are responsible for your own equipment, insurance, and taxes
• You agree to complete accepted jobs professionally and on time
• You must complete Stripe onboarding to receive payments
• MowAtlas charges a platform fee of 5% (minimum $5) per completed job

5. Platform Fees

MowAtlas charges Customers a platform fee of 5% of the job price, with a minimum of $5, on each transaction. This fee is disclosed before booking confirmation. Contractors receive 100% of the agreed job price.

6. Payments

All payments are processed through Stripe. MowAtlas does not store payment card information. By using our payment services, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Payments are released to Contractors upon job completion.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Customers may cancel a job at no charge before a Contractor accepts it. Once accepted, cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] for disputes.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees by transacting outside the app
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform

9. Limitation of Liability

MowAtlas is a marketplace and is not responsible for the quality of services performed by Contractors. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of our platform beyond the amount paid for the specific service in dispute.

10. Termination

MowAtlas reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that engage in fraudulent, harmful, or abusive behavior.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of MowAtlas after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
